- <p> Since there aren't any classes on how to be a princess,
- Japan's Kiko Kawashima, 23, has been tutored on the subject at
- the Imperial Court. Shy Kiko, a graduate student of psychology
- at a Tokyo university, is engaged to Emperor Akihito's youngest
- son, Prince Aya, who is second in line to the Chrysanthemum
- Throne. The commoner quickly learned one lesson in royal
- formality. When the imperial household sent its messenger to
- notify Kiko and her family that June 29 had been chosen for the
- wedding day, she replied, "I humbly accept the message."
